Raphael Sirtoli

Scientific Director of Clínica Pêro

Raphael has always been a curious person, with varied interests and a commitment to understanding how we can all live better and healthier lives. He studied molecular biology and health sciences and is a scientist in the field of evolutionary biology, publishing studies in this area.

Raphael has a vast knowledge of the history of science and medicine and has learned a lot from reading about success stories, but even more from reading about failures in the field. It was then that he realized that there is a lot of outdated, confusing information with little data to make decisions that often become medical and nutritional guidelines. The lesson he learned from studying so many successes and failures was that doing no harm is the most correct and humble attitude that all health professionals should adopt.

"The close collaboration between doctors, scientists and patients at Clínica Pêro makes it unique among medical clinics. I like that very much. Not only is it good for patient care, but it's also rewarding for our scientific team."
